We were on the subway today, coming back from the museum. Gabey was looking out the window….
Ian: what are all those buildings?
Gabe: that’s Chicago!
Gabe [pointing to the other side of the cityscape] : is that Chicago, too?
Ian: Yup. All of that is Chicago.
Gabe: Woah. It’s BIG!
Ian: Yeah, Chicago is a big city.
Gabe: why?
Ian: Because lots of people live here.
Gabe: why?
Ian: because lots of people love Chicago. Do you love Chicago?
Gabe: I do.
Ian: why?
Gabe: Because Mackenzie is coming!

Oh, I DO like this! We have to come back soon now, we can’t let our nephew down!
And Mackenzie is equally enamored with Gabe. She pretends he comes over to play every day. Usually they make a rock band, with Gabe on drums and Mac on guitar while Liam watches.
